Android Update of the MEDION LIFETAB P9514.

***INSTALLATION GUIDE+++

  • Please assure that the apps, widgets and the launcher, which are currently installed on your tablet are compatible to Android 4 (ICS = Ice Cream Sandwich).
  • Download the file MD_LIFETAB_P9514.20121211.4-ICS-signed-ota-update.zip to your desktop PC and save it to the root directory of your Micro SD card.
  • Please insert your Micro SD card into the appropriate cardslot of your P9514 LIFETAB and wait for the card to be recognized from the system.
  • Connect the tablet to your power supply and assure that the battery has been charged more than 50%.
  • Start the System Upgrade Tool app (shown as gearwheel icon).Then search for and execute the update file by clicking the Upgrade button.
  • The tablet then reboots and enters the update mode, where the update is installed automatically. This may take several minutes. Neither use the tablet nor switch it off during this process!
  • During the installation of the update the system will reboot again. Don´t interrupt this process even if some messages appear on the screen.
  • The update process has been finished, when the welcome page of your P9514 LIFETAB is loaded.
  • Please remind, that MEDION AG doesn´t accept any responsibility for the functionality of your apps & widgets, which have not been installed with the original system configuration.
